Recovery time after surgery
Post-surgery you will be able to return home but you should have a caregiver drive you. You will be put on bed rest for the rest of the day and will have to wait five days to seven days until you are allowed to return to work. There may be minor pain levels but you can minimize this with medication.
If drains were put in, you must care for them properly and wear compression garments. Further, you will not be able to engage in sexual activity for one month following this procedure. If you experience any signs of complications, that Dr. Nesmith will warn you about, it is vital that you notify him.
