A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words BEFORE & AFTER GALLERY

Breast Augmentation

One of the world’s most popular cosmetic procedures, breast augmentation surgery uses implants or fat transfers to enlarge the breasts. Over the years, patients have turned to Dr. Richard Nesmith and Dr. Brad Nesmith to enhance the size, shape, and placement of their breasts to create a fuller, more contoured appearance to their bustline. While the procedure is highly personal, the majority of patients experience greater comfort and confidence as a result.

Our plastic surgery center offers several types of implants, including saline, silicone gel-filled, and cohesive gel-filled implants, as well as fat grafting procedures. With your goals and requirements in mind, our plastic surgeon uses an artist's eye for an optimal result.

Breast Implant Revision

Plastic surgery is widely practiced around Florida and across the world, but not all surgeons are equally qualified, experienced, or ethical. Breast implant revision surgery is performed to replace old implants with new ones.

The patient may have undergone breast augmentation many years ago, from which time science of implants has progressed. In other cases, the implants might have been of poor quality or implanted carelessly. Patients may be without issue regarding their implants, but they seek to increase or decrease their cup size.

No matter what are your motivations for breast revision surgery, Dr. Nesmith, a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, will perform the procedure with meticulous care.

Breast Reconstruction

Breast reconstruction surgery rebuilds the shape and appearance of breasts following breast cancer treatment. Several types of reconstruction procedures are available from Nesmith Plastic Surgery Center, including breast implants and fat transfers. Some can be done at the same time as a mastectomy (breast removal surgery), while others are performed later after the patient has healed from previous surgery. These procedures are also offered to patients of all ages.

During the procedure, Dr. Nesmith uses artistic talent honed through decades of plastic surgery experience to provide you with supple, natural looking breasts. The goal here is to restore your confidence at a difficult time, so you can move forward in life after breast cancer treatment.

Tuberous Breast Correction

If you suffer from tuberous breasts (also called tubular breasts), a congenital deformity affecting the size and shape of one or more breasts, Dr. Nesmith offers corrective plastic surgery to help you achieve natural-looking, symmetrical breasts.

Just about every person, whether male or female, features a certain degree of differences in the shape and size of their breasts. However, those with tubular breasts have more noticeable variations, such as one or both elongated, conical, or droopy-shaped breasts or a protruding or larger-than-average nipple or nipples.

At Nesmith Plastic Surgery Center, our plastic surgeons offer a range of breast surgery procedures to help correct tuberous breast syndrome in both men and women.

Breast Lift

Not all breast surgery involves changes to breast size. A breast lift, also called a mastopexy, retains the breasts’ natural size but changes their shape. Over time, breasts lose elasticity and start sagging, often as a result of pregnancy, weight loss, and/or aging. Breast lift surgery reverses the effects of gravity and restores a similar appearance as when the patient was younger.

During a breast lift, Dr. Nesmith repositions the nipples and removes excess skin to reduce sagging and restore firmness. Some patients combine lifts with breast augmentation or reduction to either raise and enlarge or raise and reduce the size of the breasts. During your consultation, Dr. Nesmith can help you determine whether a breast lift is ideal for your bust.

Nipple Reduction & Reconstruction

Although size and shape of the breasts are the emphases of most breast surgery procedures, the nipple and areola (the circular skin around the nipple) comprise the focal point of the breasts and often draw more attention to the chest area. Comprehensive breast surgery, such as breast augmentation, usually incorporates a cosmetic procedure for the nipple and areola, such as nipple reduction surgery.

The procedures can repair congenital defects, such as nipples positioned too low (ptosis), or merely ensure that already satisfactory nipples align with and complement the shape of breasts. Our surgeons use experience and artistic vision to create harmony and symmetry among the nipples and areolas and breasts for complete enhancement.

Breast Reduction

Too large breasts may result in physical pain or cause the body to look disproportionate. Breast reduction surgery, also called reduction mammoplasty, alleviates these concerns by decreasing the size of the breasts.

Motivations for pursuing breast reduction ranges from experiencing back, neck, and shoulder pain or rashes under the breasts to having restricted movements or trouble fitting into clothing. Candidates may have naturally large breasts or received poorly sized implants during a previous augmentation (usually on the recommendation of an inexperienced surgeon).

Dr. Nesmith approaches breast reduction from both an aesthetic and a medical point of view, identifying the correct size to enhance the patient’s health, appearance, and lifestyle.

Silicone-Gel Filled Implants

Silicone-gel filled breast implants enlarge the size and shape of breasts — usually to counteract sagging or other effects from pregnancy, weight loss, aging, or illness — to help improve patients’ physical profiles and boost their self confidence. Silicone implants are one of several types of breast implants available at Nesmith Plastic Surgery Center.

Patients who prefer silicone implants over other types of implants, such as cohesive gel implants, or gummy bear implants, and saline implants, claim that silicone feels the most like natural breasts. Every breast implant option features pros and cons, each of which Dr. Nesmith will discuss with you to help you decide which type of implant will help you achieve the look and feel you desire.
